Main Purpose of Role :
Key Designer role within the business to lead discipline designing performance on projects and provide expert technical design leadership and assurance as required.
Qualifications :
- Diploma of Engineering (preferable)
Knowledge / Experience (Skills) :
Essential :
13-20 years of Oil & Gas Design Experience.Advantage :
Previous experience in the region.Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Lead Designer.Documentation Production - Originating / Checking / Approving :
Production of documents as per latest Engineering Design Assurance Procedure.Originating documents such as design drawings as per project requirements.Checking critical and non-critical designing activities and documentation, including scope of work, design & safety reviews, lists, schedules, MTOs, drawings, details, etc.Approving documents, with no specific items listed for approval.Resource Management :

Quality Management :
Responsible for individual performance regarding technical quality as per Quality Plan.Ensuring compliance with Corporate Technical Assurance requirements.Adhering to Project Change Management and Engineering Design Assurance processes.Performing competency assessments.Raising technical queries following the established process.Capturing technical issues on the Technical Actions Register.Managing document revisions and ensuring effective communication through Comment Resolution Sheets.Estimating / Bids / Proposals :

Project Planning / Project Setup :
Ensuring key activity milestones are identified with quality prior to planning sessions.Developing project plans to optimize efficiency and productivity.Participating in project setup planning sessions.Updating and reviewing deliverable issue dates on the Project MDR for baseline submission.Updating project resourcing plans in Resource Allocation Tool (RAT) aligned with budgets and schedules.Performance Against Schedule :
Updating Project Master Deliverables Register weekly with forecast dates.Monitoring performance against schedule requirements.Following schedule change management procedures.Reporting schedule issues to relevant project team members.Proactively managing schedule performance.Performance Against Budget :
Monitoring performance against project budget requirements.Maintaining good productivity within the discipline.Following change management procedures for budget adjustments.Reporting budget issues early to management.Managing discipline performance against budget proactively.Work-share :
