Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Gastroenterologist with proven expertise in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography ( ERCP ). The successful candidate will diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal, hepatic, and pancreaticobiliary disorders, with a strong emphasis on advanced endoscopic procedures. The role requires both outpatient and inpatient care, participation in multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage conditions related to the digestive system, liver, pancreas, and biliary tract
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including but not limited to
- Upper GI endoscopy (EGD)
- Colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy
- ERCP (mandatory requirement)
- Endoscopic ultrasound (if applicable)
- Manage complex biliary and pancreatic diseases through ERCP (e.g., stone extraction, stent placement, strictures)
- Interpret laboratory and imaging studies to support diagnosis and treatment planning
- Provide inpatient consultations, including emergency cases related to GI bleeding or biliary obstruction
- Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and hepatologists for comprehensive patient management
- Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with regulatory standards
