Manager - Events and Partnerships (National Talent)

Job Objective :

The Manager, Events and Partnerships, is responsible for managing the planning, coordination, and execution of city operations, events, and stakeholder partnerships. The role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with key public and private industry stakeholders to secure sponsorships, funding, and active contributions to familiarization trips, VIP visits, and citywide events.

The Manager ensures alignment with DET’s strategic objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, enhancing Dubai’s global reputation as a premier destination for tourism and events.

Core Functional Responsibilities & Subject Matter Expertise

• Manage the development and execution of city operations and itinerary management, ensuring alignment with DET’s mission objectives and quality standards.
• Develop strategies for acquiring sponsorships and strengthening stakeholder relationships to ensure consistent funding and support for DET programs and projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with public and private stakeholders, securing their active participation in DET initiatives related to city operations and itinerary execution.
• Identify and secure stakeholder financial, and in-kind support for familiarization trips, VIP visits, and major citywide events, overseeing sponsorship arrangements and ensuring seamless coordination of transportation, accommodation, and venue management to optimize cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Engage with event organizers, businesses, and government agencies to formalize partnerships through sponsorships, endorsements, and collaborative initiatives that enhance city operations and itinerary development.
• Collaborate with tourism entities, hospitality providers, and event organizers to ensure their offerings are seamlessly integrated into DET’s itineraries and event operations, enhancing visitor experiences.
• Align stakeholder commitments with DET’s strategic goals to strengthen Dubai’s positioning as a global destination for tourism and events.
• Develop and maintain communication with government agencies, corporate sponsors, and tourism stakeholders to ensure alignment with policy frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate the creation of communication materials, including presentations, memos, and marketing collateral, for stakeholder outreach, familiarization trips, and VIP visits.
• Negotiate agreements with stakeholders to establish mutually beneficial partnerships that contribute to DET’s strategic and operational priorities.
• Track and monitor stakeholder contributions, ensuring they meet agreed-upon objectives and deliver tangible value to DET’s city operations and itinerary-based initiatives.
• Monitor the performance and impact of stakeholder engagements by preparing periodic reports assessing financial contributions, participation levels, and overall effectiveness.
• Participate in high-profile industry meetings and networking events to promote Dubai’s city operations and itinerary offerings, fostering stronger stakeholder collaboration.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices in stakeholder engagement, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with DET’s operational policies.
• Contribute to managing budgets related to stakeholder initiatives, ensuring financial resources are effectively allocated to maximize the impact of sponsorships and partnerships.
• Maintain structured and transparent communication with stakeholders, clarifying expectations, deliverables, and roles within DET initiatives.
