Your New Role – Exciting and Forward-Thinking :
Provide expert Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidance and actionable recommendations to both leadership and staff.
Advise and support management on rolling out EHS strategies, procedures, and objectives to drive continuous improvement across assigned regional sites.
Help implement company-wide EHS policies, aligning them with relevant legislation and corporate goals.
Identify and assess environmental, health, and high-risk activities, regularly visiting sites to offer practical and safe solutions.
Ensure consistent monitoring, measuring, and transparent reporting of EHS performance.
Support Business Unit leadership with regulatory EHS compliance and best practices.
Assist in preparing and reviewing risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), ensuring timely updates and mitigation measures.
Guarantee the prompt reporting of accidents, incidents, and occupational illnesses to legal authorities within the stipulated framework.
Ensure all incidents and near-misses are recorded, investigated, and addressed in line with internal procedures, with appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain all EHS documentation, including policies, risk registers, training records, safety data sheets, and fire drill logs.
Ensure all employees, contractors, and temporary staff receive necessary EHS training under the company’s competency development framework.
Respond to employee concerns about health, safety, and welfare and escalate as needed to the appropriate authorities.
Keep teams informed on changing legal regulations, workplace hazards, and company EHS policies and procedures.
Promote active employee involvement in EHS matters, addressing complaints and breaches swiftly and effectively.
Ensure sufficient and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is available as identified in risk assessments.
Qualifications – What We’re Looking For :
A degree or recognized diploma in Engineering or Science.
A diploma in Occupational Health and Hygiene from ADIS (RLI / CLI) or another government-approved or top-tier institute such as IIT, NITIE, or NICMAR.
Preferred :
Diploma or degree in Industrial Safety or Environmental Management from a State Technical Board.
Lead Auditor Certification.
NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.
Experience :
3 to 6 years of experience in an EHS role.
Strong ability to provide on-the-job coaching and mentorship.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Preferably with experience in construction, power plants, manufacturing, engineering, project execution, or sustainable development.
