Role Overview
A prestigious tertiary care hospital in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly experienced Consultant Radiologist with expertise in PET-CT to join its advanced imaging department. The role involves interpreting complex PET-CT scans, supporting oncological and neurological diagnostics, and contributing to multidisciplinary care and academic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret PET-CT and hybrid imaging studies (e.g., SPECT / CT, diagnostic CT) for oncology, neurology, and cardiology cases
- Collaborate with oncologists, neurologists, and surgeons to support diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning
- Supervise and guide nuclear medicine technologists and junior radiologists
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and SCFHS standards
- Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to research, teaching, and continuous medical education within the department
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting using PACS and RIS systems
Qualifications & Requirements
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in RadiologyFellowship or subspecialty training in PET-CT / Nuclear Medicine ImagingBoard-certified (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)Minimum 3–5 years of post-fellowship experience in PET-CT interpretationEligible for Consultant classification by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantageExperience with advanced imaging platforms and reporting systemsPreferred Attributes
Strong background in oncologic imaging and metabolic diagnosticsFamiliarity with radiopharmaceutical protocols and tracer kineticsExcellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skillsInterest in academic teaching or clinical research
