Plant Electrician

Job Description

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled Plant Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within the plant. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth and safe operations of all electrical machinery, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities :

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in the plant.

Diagnose electrical malfunctions, troubleshoot faults, and carry out necessary repairs.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, control panels, generators, and production machinery.

Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations, company standards, and local codes.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

Monitor and maintain electrical supply, distribution systems, and backup power sources.

Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Suggest improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.

Requirements

Requirements :

Proven experience as an Electrician in an industrial / plant environment.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety standards.

Ability to operate electrical testing equipment and tools.

Understanding of PLC systems and automation (preferred).

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work shifts and handle emergency repairs when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pipe laying for road or heavy civil construction.
• Proven ability to install large-diameter pipes to grade using lasers and levels.
• Solid understanding of road construction utility installation processes and standards.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills with the ability to direct a small crew.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
• Familiarity with OSHA trench safety, confined space protocols, and PPE usage.
