Managerial Accountabilities
- Managing a team of several QA / QC Engineers
- Functional Accountabilities
- Ensuring application and implementation of Project Quality Plan in the execution of the Works.
- Liaise with contractors / consultants representative on site to ensure that all inspection and testing requirements are fulfilled and completed and to ensure the work quality is achieved as per the contract.
- Develop and implement quality initiatives and campaignsin order to improve safety culture on site.
- Assist the Director QA / QC in the Vendor Tender Review Questionnaire for Contractors.
- Conducting Quality audits and inspections on a regular basis to ensure that safe working practices are in operation.
- Supervising the overall Quality performances. Collecting and reviewing Quality KPI’s.
- Provide regular Quality performance reports and monthly statistics to continually improve Quality performance
- Assisting in the Quality training of employees to promote awareness of incident prevention and damage control.
- Reviewing Quality Plans, Risk Assessments, reports and other relevant documentation submitted by Contractors.
- Assess subcontractor / supplier QA / QC arrangements for compliance with contract requirements.
- Participate in the project meetings with contractor / consultant representative to report quality status of the project and to address important Quality issues.
- Ensuring strict adherence to work permit procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience and Technical KnowledgeMinimum 15 years of experience in Construction industryConversant with international safety and environmental standards such as ISO 9001Conversant with local safety and environmental code of practices and legislationComputer literate – MS OfficeReporting and presentation skillsAuditing skillsKnowledge in Quality Management Qualifications
Relevant degree or diploma in engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical) or Health and Safety from an accredited university.Internal / lead auditor certification.KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
