This role supports both the Marketing and Paid Media teams by managing the tools, platforms and resources they use. This role ensures teams have everything they need to run campaigns effectively, from setting up platforms and tracking links to troubleshooting issues and providing training. By maintaining and improving our marketing systems, you’ll help the teams achieve their goals and deliver great results.
Key Responsibilities
Google & social management
- Set up and manage Google tools, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ad Manager (infrequent) and Looker Studio across all event websites.
- Set up Google Tag Manager for new events and manage scripts within GTM for conversion tracking.
- Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and Paid Media Team Leader to develop user-friendly reports that benchmark performance and enable non-technical marketing users to track campaign effectiveness through actionable metrics.
- Assess website analytics to uncover opportunities for improvement and flag performance risks to relevant teams.
- Set up primary ‘key events’ for goal conversion tracking in Google Analytics (e.g., visitor registrations, exhibiting enquiries, brochure downloads) to ensure consistency across all events.
- Set up and manage third-party banner advertising across event websites using Google Ad Manager, generating statistical reports for teams and sponsors.
- Evaluate marketing requests for new social media pages to ensure valid use cases and adherence to best practices; coordinate with the Paid Media team for ad account setup and monitor page growth for optimization.
UTM management & support
Maintain UTM tools, documentation and training for marketers to track campaign effectiveness.Ensure UTM tracking is being implemented consistently and correctly, flagging risks if conversions lack tracking links.Marketing technology
Work with the in-house web team and agency to add third-party widgets and marketing tools on websites, such as social walls (e.g., Walls.io), pop-ups (e.g., OptinMonster), third-party hotel booking platforms (e.g., HotelMap), and social registration tools (e.g., InGo).Set up and maintain smaller marketing platforms and tools (not including enterprise level software) e.g., website pop-ups, survey tools, news monitoring tools, etc., to ensure access, ease of use, functionality and optimal usage by marketing teams.Keep up to date and inform teams on new feature releases that have benefit to the business.Monitor platform usage to ensure teams are leveraging solutions to their full potential, highlighting areas of underutilization and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.Test and explore new marketing channels and tools to enhance campaign effectiveness.Oversee supplier / tool contracts and renewals.Conduct regular supplier check-ins to identify beneficial updates and share them with teams.Troubleshoot supplier-related issues promptly.Training & support
Train marketing teams on marketing tech and best practices, such as how to set up UTM tracking links and how to create pop-ups.Share insights, wins and learnings with teams to maximize the impact of marketing tools and resources.Host monthly onboarding sessions for new starters.Handle aspects of the new starter / leaver process.Record keeping & other tasks
Maintain platform configuration records, central documents, login credentials and training materials.Support new show, cancellation and other such checklists.Technical skills
A minimum of 5 years\' experience managing marketing platforms, tracking tools and troubleshooting technical issues is required.Highly proficient with certification in Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Ad Manager. Looker Studio is a bonus.Experience with setting up and interpreting reporting dashboards for campaign effectiveness, growth insights and underperformance.Experience with social media ad platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Snapchat).Knowledge of tracking scripts and UTM management.Soft Skills
