To support their next phase of growth and operational excellence, they are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead all operational functions, optimize efficiency, and drive execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.
Job Summary
The COO will play a critical role in translating the CEO’s strategic vision into actionable operational plans and ensuring flawless execution across all business functions. This executive leadership position demands a strong, hands-on operator who can manage large-scale operations, streamline processes, improve performance metrics, and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction or infrastructure sectors, a deep understanding of business operations, and a proven track record in scaling organizations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Execution : Work closely with the CEO to convert strategic business objectives into operational roadmaps and ensure company-wide alignment.
- Operational Leadership : Oversee day-to-day operations across construction, procurement, HR, finance, and project delivery teams, ensuring all functions work seamlessly together.
- Performance Management : Monitor key business performance indicators (KPIs), identify gaps, and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Process Optimization : Design and implement best-in-class processes, systems, and controls that enhance productivity and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Risk & Compliance : Identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory, legal, and health & safety requirements.
- Culture & Leadership : Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance by mentoring senior managers and aligning teams with organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Represent operations at board and executive meetings, provide data-driven insights, and ensure transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Innovation & Growth : Lead digital transformation, adopt new technologies, and explore opportunities for business growth and diversification.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
15+ years of progressive experience in operations leadership, preferably within construction, real estate development, infrastructure, or related industries.MBA, Engineering, or related advanced degree preferred.Proven expertise in process optimization, P&L management, and driving organizational transformation.Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills with the ability to inspire large, cross-functional teams.Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking ability, and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.Track record of delivering measurable improvements in operational efficiency and cost savings.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
