Overview
This role involves the execution of orders (equity, fixed income or otherwise mandated) on behalf of Institutional clients (domestic and foreign) based on their instructions, while adhering to FAB policies, exchanges, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Execute Buy and Sell orders on behalf of Institutional clients.
- Respond to orders passed by Sales Traders and report executions in a timely fashion.
- Source liquidity from other brokers / clients and build a database of available block securities.
- Document orders and transactions and manage order distribution within the execution team.
- Perform trades manually on market systems in the event of OMS breakdown (with required approvals).
- Maintain high standards of professional execution to differentiate FAB from other players.
- Prepare documents requiring customer signatures and perform customer information and order validation.
- Escalate customer disputes to the Senior Sales Trader as the first level of escalation.
- Call assigned clients regularly to discuss markets and ideas; arrange meetings with clients or with the sales team.
- Assist the trading department in marketing the desk’s trading and execution capabilities to convert leads from institutional clients.
- Ensure adherence to legal, compliance, risk management policies and procedures.
- Maintain daily / weekly call reports and update related client profile sheets.
- Maintain efficient and professional management of orders, execution of transactions and reporting of trades.
