Overview
Sigma Enterprises LLC, a distributor and service provider for a wide range of scientific and engineering technologies in the UAE and the GCC, is looking for an energetic and passionate Service Engineer for Survey Equipment .
Work Location - Dubai, UAE
Ideal candidate must have 3 - 4 years experience with survey equipment such as automatic levels, total stations, GPS systems, laser scanners and other land survey equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a safe, responsible and cost-effective manner, in full compliance with the company’s safety manuals and quality assurance standards.
- Successfully operate and have sufficient working knowledge of products / equipment used.
- Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products / equipment both in house and at site.
- Train employees and customers, identify, analyze, and repair product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
- Produce comprehensive reports and all relevant paperwork relating to job within agreed timeframe.
- Hold debriefs with Service Manager and / or Division Manager after job.
- Keep Service Manager informed of job progress when on location.
- Report all incidents / failures to Service Manager.
- Ensure that all chargeable equipment / people are signed for by Customer.
- Project a good company image and remain alert to on-site opportunities for supplying other products and services.
- Conduct training of customers on major and other products.
- Provide initial go live support for existing and new products.
- Coordinate on-site installations of new or additional products.
- Provide product feedback to Service Manager.
- Guarantee safe transmission of stocks, equipment and materials.
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of technical information regarding the products.
- Maintain contact with customers to ensure that their needs have been met.
- Offer after-sales support services.
- Be in constant contact with customers and have a good idea of the improvements customers would like to see in the products they buy.
- Work to bring products in line with customer expectations.
- Administer client account.
- Solve client problems regarding the product.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in performing calibration, installation, maintenance, and repair of surveying equipment (e.g., automatic level, total stations, GPS systems, laser scanners and other land survey equipment). Experience in Olympus products preferred.Familiarity with brands such as Sokkia, Leica, Trimble, Topcon, or similar is a plus.Good communication skills and team spirit.Industries
