Job Description
JOB PURPOSE : The purpose of the job is to prepare, review, and provide appropriate recommendations for credit facilities for a portfolio of CIB – Abu Dhabi clients. The role also entails compliance with all credit policies and guidelines.
Key Accountabilities
- Guide a team of analysts to ensure robust credit analysis is conducted and appropriate approvals are obtained within the bank in a timely fashion.
- Complete due diligence for prospective deals in collaboration with Coverage / Product teams, ensuring emerging risk factors are identified and addressed.
- Provide initial feedback at GLM stage and ensure adherence to Risk Acceptance Criteria and CIB GCP guidelines during approval processes.
- Advise Relationship Managers on risk factors associated with complex transactions and clauses to mitigate these risks.
- Ensure timely availability of information for credit decision-making by the Head of Credit / Unit Head.
- Participate in client relationships through visits and calls during transaction initiation and monitoring.
- Guide departments on optimal utilization of credit facilities without compromising credit quality.
- Coordinate with internal teams (CAD, Legal, etc.) on risk assessment, risk rating, and documentation.
- Ensure accuracy of data presented to stakeholders and update risk systems accordingly.
- Recommend amendments to credit policies and models based on lending experience and market conditions.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Prepare comprehensive credit papers with key risks, mitigations, and recommendations for Credit Committee.Coordinate with Relationship Managers for annual reviews and necessary information gathering.Ensure credit processing and approval are completed within SLAs.Conduct periodic meetings and follow-ups with clients to ensure compliance and monitor accounts.Identify potential problem accounts early and liaise with Business Units for corrective actions.Review reports and stay updated on clients’ financial and market developments to inform risk assessments.Specific Accountability

Bachelor’s degree required.Desirable : Chartered Accountant, MBA, or relevant finance qualification.Minimum Experience
