Electrical Technition

Job Responsibilities :

• Reduce the number of repetitive maintenance jobs.
• Proper upkeep of documents, logs, etc.
• Study and understand power & control circuit diagrams, cable schedules, termination drawings, and other documents.
• Maintain and repair all electrical equipment to ensure reliability and maximum availability.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, and repair of electrical equipment in the assigned section.
• Troubleshoot and resolve daily / shift problems to facilitate production and services, achieving maximum plant availability.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of motors, MCCs, PCCs, and MV switch gears as per defined schedules and procedures.
• Handle breakdown maintenance, repair, replacement, and rectification jobs.
• Test motors, transformers, and other equipment in the departmental workshop.
• Collaborate with other departmental colleagues for joint jobs requiring coordination.
• Additional responsibilities include carrying out instrumentation jobs such as reporting electrical parameters, temperatures, DIs, DOs to DCS, especially in the absence of an instrument technician, to facilitate production and operation.
• Log daily / shift jobs carried out.

Reporting :

Report to the immediate superior at the end of each day / shift regarding jobs completed and problems faced.
