The Mobile Crane Operator plays a pivotal role in the movement and placement of critical components across project sites, operating heavy lifting equipment with precision and safety. They expertly maneuver mobile cranes to lift, position, and relocate heavy loads—ranging from structural steel to specialized machinery—while adhering to strict weight limits and balance requirements.
Key responsibilities include :
- Interpreting load charts, rigging plans, and lift drawings accurately.
- Conducting thorough pre-operational inspections and equipment maintenance.
- Maintaining detailed activity logs and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Coordinating with signalers and rigging teams to facilitate seamless operations.
- Adapting to dynamic environments, including confined spaces and outdoor sites.
- Responding effectively to unexpected challenges, such as shifting loads or unstable terrain.
Required qualifications and skills :
Previous experience operating mobile cranes in industrial or heavy construction environments.Valid crane operator certification / license (CPCS, NCCCO, or equivalent).Proficient in interpreting load charts, rigging plans, and lift drawings.Strong understanding of OSHA and site-specific safety protocols for lifting operations.Skilled in pre-operational inspection, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.Ability to work effectively with rigging and signaler teams in high-pressure environments.Excellent situational awareness and decision-making skills to manage lift-related risks.Physically fit to work in varying weather conditions and challenging site environments.This job posting is active and accepting applications.
