Title and Summary
Director, EEMEA Business Development – Cross-Border B2B Payments
Overview
As a Director of Business Development, you are a sales-driven professional with a deep understanding of local market dynamics, FI customer needs, and payments & XB product positioning. You will work closely with Account Management teams, Transfer Solutions leads, and other key market stakeholders to execute the go-to-market strategy for our cross-border business, drive volume and revenue growth, and ensure customer satisfaction as part of the referral agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and drive our Cross Border B2B Payments business value proposition and product solutions.
- Participate in pre- and post-sales activities such as onboarding and implementation to facilitate and expedite deal closures.
- Collaborate with Regional CNPF Lead, Regional Transfer Solutions Lead, Regional President, and Divisional Presidents to drive growth across the FI segment.
- Monitor Mastercard Move product roadmap and identify sales opportunities related to Move when Cross Border B2B Payments solutions are not suitable.
- Build relationships with Mastercard Account Management teams to promote the referral business. Work with account management to maintain and execute the referral list, escalating if progress slows.
- Manage end-to-end pipeline reporting and conduct monthly reviews of FI sales pipeline and client activity at regional and global levels. Attend meetings with account managers and FIs to ensure clear communication of topics.

Proven experience in business development and sales across the region, preferably in B2B payments.Deep understanding of the payments industry, especially cross-border B2B payments.Ability to develop and execute quantifiable business plans with strong pipeline management skills.Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills, including with C-suite stakeholders.Thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.Strong analytical and operational skills.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.Willingness to travel as needed.Corporate Security Responsibility
