We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer responsible for coordinating with suppliers, following up on deliveries, clearing ports and borders, and resolving issues related to municipality and main suppliers for concentrate, raw materials, spare parts, and marketing equipment.
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
- Handling purchasing activities
- Receiving store materials
- Submitting GRN to accounts
- Attending purchasing-related audits
- Meeting with suppliers
- Handling petty cash procurement
- Requesting transportation from logistics for delivery and material exit
- Sending RFQs and collecting quotes
- Creating purchase requisitions
- Creating item codes
- Creating purchase orders
- Following up on approvals with accounts
- Providing feedback on LPO concerns such as price discrepancies and payment terms
- Following up on delivery with suppliers
- Requesting pre-payments from accounts
- Preparing price comparisons for approval
- Following up on payments with accounts
- Searching for new suppliers
- Registering suppliers and obtaining QC approval
- Requesting supplier creation from accounts
- Updating approved supplier list
- Filing purchase orders and quotes for audits
- Negotiating delivery times, discounts, and payment terms with suppliers
- Reconciling MTC / DO / invoices for QC and accounts
- Creating work orders
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply ChainExperience in international purchasingPostgraduate with 5 years of relevant experiencePrevious experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or automotive industries preferredMarket knowledge (customers, systems, providers)Proficiency in EnglishKnowledge of ERP systemsPhysical and Mental Requirements
