Overview
The Head of English Content is responsible for leading the creation, editing, and strategic oversight of all English content for a government entity. The role ensures content is accurate, high-quality, on-brand, and aligned with government communications strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the English editorial team , providing guidance and mentorship.
- Oversee content creation and editing for all communications, including press releases, articles, reports, digital and social media content.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in all English content.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and senior leadership to validate content and maintain messaging alignment.
- Collaborate with translation teams to ensure Arabic / English consistency across publications.
- Implement editorial standards, style guides, and workflows to maintain quality and compliance.
- Support strategic campaigns and media initiatives by providing content expertise.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.Minimum 10–15 years of editorial experience, preferably in government communications or high-profile corporate environments .Proven leadership experience managing editorial teams.Exceptional writing and editing skills in English .Knowledge of government communication protocols is preferred.Seniority level
