Role Overview
A prestigious hospital in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified Consultant in Critical Care Medicine with specialized expertise in organ transplantation (liver and / or kidney) . The role centers on leading ICU care for transplant patients, ensuring optimal outcomes through multidisciplinary collaboration and advanced clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ICU management of critically ill transplant patients across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases
- Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nephrologists, hepatologists, and anesthetists to deliver integrated care
- Perform advanced procedures :
Invasive monitoring
Mechanical ventilationRenal replacement therapyHemodynamic supportEnsure compliance with DHA regulations and international best practicesParticipate in clinical research, quality improvement , and staff trainingProvide on-call support across transplant units, ER, and general critical care areasQualifications & Experience
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)Residency in Critical Care or Internal MedicineFellowship or subspecialty training in Transplant ICU / Critical Care MedicineBoard-certified (UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)Minimum 5 years post-fellowship experience in transplant-related ICU careDHA license or eligibility for Consultant classificationStrong leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsFluent in English; Arabic is a plusPreferred Attributes
