Proposals Engineer

Charterhouse is working with a company based in Jebel Ali that is looking for a Proposals Engineer to join the team to assist with the growth of an already successful business.

The company designs and manufactures Oil & Gas metering systems and produced water treatment solutions for the Oil & Gas industry. They have been operating in the Middle East for over 12 years, starting with their office in the UAE in 2001 and later establishing an office in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The day-to-day tasks of the Proposals Engineer will include :

• Obtaining all necessary valid quotations for bought-out equipment and services, and preparing or obtaining all technical documents (drawings, calculations, proposals, etc.) along with a valid cost estimate for the enquiry as per sales instructions.
• Ensuring all firm proposals have a clear scope of supply, regardless of the enquiry document details.
• Attending bid clarification meetings (BCMs) as requested, formulating answers and clarifications for approval by the Project Manager (PM) when required.
• Checking that all firm proposals are reviewed commercially and technically by the manager and / or in accordance with sales work instructions and / or technical department.
• Ensuring technical designs comply with the latest company policies and that any new or non-standard designs are approved by the technical department.
• Obtaining managerial approval to pass the proposal with all relevant information to the Sales Manager for submission to the client.
• Submitting all proposals and official communications to clients in accordance with the agreed strategy and requirements.
